UAE Expands Visa-on-Arrival to Six More Countries in 2026
6/25/2026

The United Arab Emirates has expanded its visa-on-arrival programme, making travel easier for eligible visitors from six additional countries. The new policy, announced by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, took effect on June 25, 2026, and is intended to boost tourism, business travel, and international connectivity.
Under the updated rules, ordinary passport holders from Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines, Kenya, and South Africa can now obtain a visa upon arrival in the UAE, provided they meet the required eligibility criteria. The facility also extends to eligible accompanying family members.
To qualify, travellers must hold a valid residence permit issued by the United States, a European Union member state, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, or Canada. Eligible visitors can choose between a 14-day or 60-day visa on arrival.
The initiative reflects the UAE's commitment to making travel more convenient while strengthening economic and cultural ties with key international markets. By simplifying entry procedures, the country aims to attract more tourists, business professionals, and investors.
With this expansion, the UAE continues to enhance its position as a leading global destination for travel and commerce. The streamlined visa process is expected to encourage greater international mobility and further support the country's growing tourism and business sectors.
